WHAT IS THE SEVERANCE PAY FLOOR?

After the 30% increase in the minimum wage, the floor amount of severance pay has also been updated. As of 2025, the severance pay floor has increased from 20,002 TL to 26,004 TL. This increase has significantly raised the base amount in the severance pay calculations for employees.

DETAILS OF SEVERANCE PAY CEILING CALCULATION

Severance pay is calculated based on 30 days of gross salary for each full year the employee has worked. Periods longer than one year are included in the calculation proportionally. In severance pay calculations, not only the salary but also the regular additional benefits provided to the employee (such as travel allowance, meal allowance, regular bonus payments, etc.) are taken into account. However, the amount of severance pay that can be paid is limited by the severance pay ceiling that is valid at the time of termination.
