Yasin Acun, who went to register his son for a Quran course in Diyarbakır, was shot and killed by masked suspects with a shotgun. It was reported that the suspects targeted Acun to take revenge for a murder in 2024.
It has been revealed that Yasin Acun (49), who was shot dead with a shotgun by two masked individuals in Diyarbakır, came to register his son at the Quran course where the incident took place. It was stated that the arrested suspects are the brothers of Veysi Yalçın, who was killed in 2024, and that the incident occurred for this reason. Security camera footage showed Acun's son trying to intervene by holding one of the suspects' weapons, but he was pushed away with a kick.
SUSPECTS CAPTURED IN A SHORT TIME
The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Bağcılar neighborhood of the Bağlar district. When Yasin Acun went to register his son, whose name is unknown, at the Quran course, masked individuals M.E.Y. and E.Y. entered and opened fire with a shotgun. The suspects also shot and injured security guard O.Ç. (34) and fled. Health and police teams were dispatched to the address upon notification. It was determined that Acun had lost his life under the control of the medical team. The injured security guard was taken to the hospital after initial intervention. The police captured the two fleeing suspects with the shotgun believed to have been used in the incident. The suspects were taken to the police station for questioning. Yasin Acun's body was handed over to his relatives after the autopsy procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institution and was taken to the rural Kaldırım neighborhood of Kayapınar district for burial.

Meanwhile, the incident was captured on the security camera of the Quran course. The footage showed moments when several people panicked in the building as the suspects entered with a shotgun. Additionally, it was seen that one of the suspects heading towards the room where Yasin Acun was located was attempted to be stopped by Acun's son holding the shotgun. After the suspect kicked Acun's son away, he headed into the room and moments of firing and fleeing were captured.

It has been learned that the murder is based on a 'livestock grazing' dispute that occurred in 2024 in the rural Kaldırım neighborhood of Kayapınar district, where Veysi Yalçın lost his life. It was reported that Veysi Yalçın was shot and killed during a dispute with M.N.A. It has been learned that the suspects M.E.Y. and E.Y. are Yalçın's brothers.
