The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that a cold air wave originating from Siberia will be effective across the country starting tomorrow, coming over the Black Sea. With this new cold air wave, temperatures are expected to drop by up to 10 degrees.

NO SNOW EXPECTED IN ISTANBUL
Cengiz Çelik, a meteorology expert from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, stated in an evaluation to AA correspondent that no snow is expected in Istanbul and that the precipitation will be in the form of rain. He also mentioned that there will be no snowfall in the city during the New Year.
TEMPERATURES WILL SUDDENLY DROP WITH SIBERIAN COLD
Çelik expressed that rain is expected in Ankara tomorrow, and although not heavy, some snow is anticipated over the weekend. He indicated that the snow could be a bit stronger in the northern districts of Ankara and around Kızılcahamam. Çelik noted that in Izmir, no precipitation is expected for 3-4 days starting from tomorrow, and a partly cloudy weather will dominate.
Çelik stated that starting from tomorrow, the country will be under the influence of a cold and rainy system originating from Siberia, coming over the Black Sea, and that temperatures will gradually drop by 4 to 10 degrees. He mentioned that the cold air system will cause snowfall in the Black Sea Region, the eastern part of Central Anatolia, and parts of Eastern Anatolia.
