In Beyoğlu, two suspects blocked the way of a Spanish YouTuber riding a motorcycle and assaulted him. The suspects, who threw a plastic bottle at the fleeing tourist, were quickly apprehended by the police. The 17-year-old suspect, who has 25 records with the police, was handed over to a child protection agency, while the 24-year-old suspect, who has 7 criminal records, was released.
On June 14, Saturday, during the afternoon hours, a Spanish YouTuber experienced horror while riding his motorcycle on the road in the Tarlabaşı Bülbül neighborhood of Beyoğlu district in Istanbul. The YouTuber Javier R.D.V. (28), who entered a street in Tarlabaşı with his friend on a motorcycle, was stopped by 2 suspects. The suspects confronted the tourist, saying, "Why are you filming? Later, seeing that the tourist was trying to escape quickly on his motorcycle, another person threw a water bottle. While the tourist was moving down the street, one suspect who got on a motorcycle began to follow him. The tourist, who said in English, "I'm sorry, brother," had to stop as a van blocked the road.
The person who stopped in front of the tourist on the motorcycle prevented him from moving by saying, "No problem." When the suspects who followed from behind attacked, the tourist began to flee on his motorcycle. The tourist, who went up onto the sidewalk with his motorcycle, fell to the ground due to the suspects attacking from behind. The tourist, who was injured on his knee, ran away while also taking his mobile phone. His friend was assaulted by the suspects.
BEYOĞLU SECURITY POLICE CAPTURED THEM
After the incident, the Beyoğlu Security Bureau teams on patrol caught the 2 suspects who assaulted the tourist while they were trying to escape. N.A. (17) and Sinan Çağrı B. (24), who were taken into custody, were brought to the police station.
BOTH HAVE A LONG CRIMINAL RECORD
Legal action was taken against the 2 suspects for the crime of 'intentional injury' after their statements were taken here.
