In the investigation initiated after it was determined that the amount of fuel reported by TP Petrol Dağıtım AŞ to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) in Antalya and Hatay was 18,476 tons less than the amount reported by its refinery, three senior executives, including the general manager M.B., were arrested.

On October 22-24, a discrepancy was found between the figures reported by STAR Refinery to the EPDK for the Hatay Dörtyol and Antalya facilities and the figures reported by TP Petrol Distribution Inc., which provides storage services to the refinery.
TONS OF FUEL MISSING
Following STAR Refinery's complaint to the Antalya and Hatay Dörtyol Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding the allegation that billed products were sold without its knowledge, an investigation was initiated. An examination conducted by the teams of the Smuggling and Organized Crime Prevention Branch revealed that 4,009 tons of fuel, valued at 232 million 256 thousand lira at current market prices, were missing from the company's depot in Antalya, and 14,467 tons of fuel, valued at 820 million 561 thousand lira, were missing from the depot in Hatay Dörtyol.
NUMEROUS PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PETROLEUM DISTRIBUTION MANAGER, DETAINED
In the operation carried out following the findings, M.B., the general manager of TP Petrol Distribution Inc., former general manager Ç.D., supply manager H.G., and facility manager O.E.C. were detained in Antalya. Ş.Z., Ş.H.Z., F.B., and S.U., who were detained in Istanbul, along with H.G.K. detained in Fethiye, Muğla, were released after their statements were taken.

It was determined that TP Petrol Distribution Inc. Chairman İ.Z. and A.Ç.Y., a senior executive at the same company, were abroad.
3 SENIOR OFFICIALS ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects sent to the courthouse included former general manager Ç.D., who was released by the prosecutor's office, while general manager M.B., supply manager H.G., and facility manager O.E.C. were arrested by the court.
