A stubble fire, which started with sparks from an electric pole in Diyarbakır, was captured on camera. In the fire, 146 acres of wheat, 20 acres of corn, and 4 acres of cotton were damaged.

While the pain of the fire that occurred last week between Diyarbakır and Mardin and claimed the lives of 15 people is still fresh, hearts skipped a beat again. A spark from the electrical wires in Diyarbakır caused a stubble fire.

In the fire that started with sparks jumping from the electrical pole, 146 acres of wheat, 20 acres of corn, and 4 acres of cotton were damaged.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The fire, which started as a stubble and cover fire in Köksalan Neighborhood in Çınar district of Diyarbakır on June 20 at 22:15 and affected the neighborhoods of Yazçiçeği, Bağrık, and Ağaçsever due to the intensity of the wind, progressed towards Yücebağ, Şenyuva, and Yetkinler neighborhoods in Mazıdağı district of Mardin. The fire was brought under control as a result of the intense work of the fire crews and the citizens. 15 people lost their lives in the stubble fires.
