In Fatih, Istanbul, 19-year-old Semih Çelik murdered Ayşenur Halil in his own home, then killed İkbal Uzuner, whom he met at the Edirnekapı Walls, before taking his own life. The chilling details of the murder emerged days later through the statement of Ayşenur Halil's father. The grieving father said in his statement, "I had never heard Semih's name until that day. My daughter had left the house saying, 'I'm going to school.' We learned what had happened when the police told us, 'You need to come to the police station.'"
On October 4th, Friday, in Edirnekapı, Fatih, Istanbul, 19-year-old Semih Çelik unleashed horror. He had decapitated Iqbal Uzuner (19), whom he killed and dismembered, and threw her head down. It was revealed that the suspect, who ended his life by jumping from the walls, had also killed his girlfriend Ayşenur Halil (19) by cutting her throat in his own home before killing Iqbal. The statement of Ayşenur Halil's father regarding the shocking double murder was obtained days later.
DIGITAL MATERIALS ARE BEING EXAMINED
A comprehensive investigation is being conducted regarding the double murder that has been the talk of Turkey. While digital materials obtained from the three individuals are being examined, eyewitnesses and family members are being questioned one by one. One of these individuals was Y. Halil, the father of Ayşenur Halil, the suspect's girlfriend.
LEFT HOME SAYING "I'M GOING TO SCHOOL"
The grieving father stated in his testimony to the investigation units that he had never heard the name of the suspect Semih Çelik until the day of the murder. Stating that they thought his daughter Ayşenur Halil was at school, father Halil said, "I had never heard Semih's name until that day. I don't know Semih at all. We thought she was at school. My daughter left home saying, 'I'm going to school.' We learned what had happened when the police said, 'You need to come to the police station.'"
