What is the Steel Dome Project?
The Steel Dome Layered Air Defense System is being developed by ASELSAN. With Steel Dome, air defense systems developed by the Turkish defense industry such as KORKUT, HISAR-A+, GÖKDEMİR, GÖKER, GÖKBERK, HISAR-O+, and SİPER will be able to work together in an integrated manner. Radar and electro-optical systems that perform precise tracking, diagnosis, and classification of targets in addition to weapon systems will also operate as a whole within the Steel Dome.
As a result, the staff at the command control system headquarters will be able to see and manage all air defense weapons and sensor elements in the mission area as a whole. In addition, artificial intelligence will be used to support engagement decisions against targets.
