It has been revealed that Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in the US-Israel attacks, did not take any extra security measures against a possible attack. Khamenei's successor, Iran's highest national security official Ali Larijani, stated, "Khamenei insisted on living a normal life and did not want a different situation in any way." Larijani also expressed, "The US and Israel burned the heart of the Iranian people by killing Khamenei, and we will burn their hearts as well."
The negotiation processes between Iran and the USA ended negatively, and the Middle East turned into a fire pit. On February 28, in the joint operations initiated by the USA and Israel against Iran, the Iranian religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in his office. After the Iranian press confirmed Khamenei's death, a 40-day mourning period was declared in the country.
KHAMENEY DID NOT TAKE EXTRA SECURITY MEASURES
It has emerged that Khamenei did not take any extra security measures against a possible attack. Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Iranian National Security Council and a loyal aide whom Khamenei trusted to govern the country, stated in a broadcast on state television, "Khamenei insisted on living a normal life and did not want any different situation in any way. This event is a very painful incident for all of us."
Continuing his remarks, Larijani said, "The Iranian nation has faced worse events throughout its history. The Mongols devastated all of Iran, but the Iranian people resisted against them. This event is extremely painful, and the loss of such a great personality has wounded all our hearts. However, the late Imam (Ayatollah Khamenei) has said that such martyrdoms make people more resilient."
"THE USA AND ISRAEL HAVE BURNED THE HEART OF IRAN, WE WILL BURN THEIRS"
Larijani, who said, "The USA and Israel have burned the heart of the Iranian people by killing Khamenei, we will burn theirs," indicated that Israel plans to divide Iran. Larijani stated, "Groups that think about dividing Iran should know that we have no tolerance, and the armed forces and the nation stand firm for the unity of Iran. They should not think of it as a light breeze and believe they can separate a part of Iran. The armed forces are fully authorized in this matter. Our response to these groups will be like yesterday."
A MEETING WILL BE HELD FOR THE NEW LEADER
Larijani, who made a statement regarding the new leader to be elected in place of Khamenei, said, "We held a meeting yesterday to prepare for the establishment of the Leadership Council. This council will be established today." Iranian state television announced that Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had died in the attack organized by the USA-Israel yesterday.
PEOPLE ARE CHANTING FOR REVENGE
According to Iranian media, people took to the streets in many cities of the country with Iranian flags. The crowd gathered in Tehran's Revolution Square, carrying Khamenei's photo, mourned and shed tears. The pro-regime crowd shouted death slogans against the USA and Israel with Khamenei posters. In the city of Qom, hundreds of people gathered at the shrine of Hazrat Masumeh and condemned the USA and Israel.
A BLACK FLAG WAS HOISTED AT THE IMAM REZA SHRINE
Meanwhile, a black flag was hoisted on the dome of the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, and Iranians who came to the area shed tears due to Khamenei's death.
Commemorative and denunciation demonstrations are being held in many cities of the country.
