Murder suspect Mustafa Örün (49), who confessed to strangling 6-year-old Şirin Elmas Hanilçi, who went missing on October 31 in Şişli, was caught and detained by police teams after the incident. It was learned that Mustafa Örün was a waste collector, and in his first statement at the police station, he confessed that he committed the act within the Feriköy Cemetery.
