Azerbaijani national M.G.Ş. was stopped by police teams in front of a shopping mall in Sarıyer, and 70 kilograms of gold (approximately 210 million TL) was found on him. The individual claimed that the gold belonged to him and asserted that he was a diplomat. It has been reported that legal proceedings regarding the matter are ongoing.

Within the framework of the instructions given by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a suspect named M.G.Ş., a citizen of Azerbaijan, was stopped by the teams of the Smuggling Crimes Investigation Branch while traveling by taxi in front of a shopping center located in Sarıyer.

70 KILOS OF GOLD FOUND

As a result of the search conducted on the stopped suspect M.G.Ş., it was determined that 70 kilos of gold were found. It was learned that the suspect M.G.Ş. claimed that the said products belonged to him and also stated that he was a diplomat to the teams.
