On March 3rd, around 5:30 PM, a brutal incident occurred at the Kiremithane Train Station in the Dadaloğlu neighborhood of the Yüreğir district in Adana. According to reports, Azat Tabağ (24), who had just finished work, sat on a bench at the train station to rest.

TWO BROTHERS STABBED TO DEATH WHILE SITTING ON A BENCH

After a while, as Tabağ started walking home, a dispute broke out when he made eye contact with Murat (17) and his brother Ahmet Eren Doğu (16), who were sitting on the opposite bench. Allegedly, the argument quickly escalated into a fight after the Doğu brothers cursed at him. During the ensuing scuffle, Tabağ attacked the Doğu brothers with a knife he pulled from his pocket.

The brothers, injured in various parts of their bodies, were left in a pool of blood while Azat Tabağ fled the scene. The two brothers, who were taken to the hospital, could not be saved. After their autopsies at the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution, the bodies of the Doğu brothers were buried at Buruk Cemetery by their relatives.

"I WAS NOT MYSELF BECAUSE I WAS FASTING"

The suspect Azat Tabağ, after hiding for a while in side streets, went to the Cumhuriyet Police Station and surrendered. During Tabağ's interrogation, he reportedly said, "They cursed at me while I was getting up from the bench and walking. I was not myself because I was fasting, I got angry. I had no intention to kill. I swung the knife randomly during the scuffle. After the incident, I ran away after throwing the knife into the bushes." It was reported that Tabağ's processing at the police station is ongoing.
