It was claimed that a teacher in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul beat a student with an iron rod. The parent, horrified by the marks on their child's arm and head, filed a complaint regarding the incident. The incident occurred last Friday at İbrahim Feridun Tınaztepe Primary School in Kavaklı Neighborhood, Beylikdüzü. According to the information obtained, Emirhan Sevin, a second-grade student, called his teacher over to show a place in the book during class. Allegedly, when the teacher came to the student, he assaulted the child with the iron rod for an unknown reason. The child's parent, Özlem Sevin, was called to the school and informed about the situation. Sevin took her child from school to the hospital to obtain a report of the assault and went to the police station to file a complaint. "HOW CAN I HAND OVER MY CHILD'S LIFE TO THEM?"Mother Özlem Sevin stated that she went to the school upon receiving a phone call, saying, "The teacher told me, 'Emirhan is crying, I want you to come to the school, I hit Emirhan with a rod on his arm.' I saw the teacher coming down the stairs as I was going up the school stairs. He had an iron rod in his hand. I asked about Emirhan, and he said, 'In the administrative section.' In the administrative room, the teachers were trying to calm Emirhan down. I approached my son, and he showed me his arm. I asked, 'Does anything else hurt?' He said, 'Mom, my head hurts.' His hair was covering the wound on his forehead. When I lifted his hair, there was swelling and edema," she said. "A WOUND ON HIS ARM, HIT LIKE A WHIP"Sevin explained that they went to the hospital and obtained a report, saying, "A forensic report was issued. There is a wound on his arm, hit like a whip. It was burned and had edema, which is also noted in the report. After the procedure, we went to the police station's juvenile department. We filed our complaint." Mother Sevin noted that the teacher claimed to have done this accidentally, saying, "If he did this accidentally, shouldn't he have been with my son? His mistake was hitting my child. If the blow to his head had been a little more severe, the outcome could have been worse. Today we are at the hospital. Tomorrow he has to go to school; how will that teacher be there? How can I hand over my child's life to them?"
