It has been revealed that two sisters who went missing 20 years ago in Kahramanmaraş were murdered and their bodies were buried in the garden of a cottage. The Alıç family, who reported to the police 7 months ago, stated that their daughters Fatma and Gülcan Alıç went missing at the same time in 2005 and that they had not heard from them for 19 years, asking for help. The police, who initiated a search to find the sisters, determined that Fatma and Gülcan Alıç had not had any official transactions in 19 years and found no evidence that they were alive. It was assessed that the sisters might have been murdered, and a special team was established in the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Department. The police, who consulted about 100 people, focused on Behçet Y., with whom Gülcan Alıç lived, and his cousin Mevlüt D. The special team, suspicious of the cousins' movements, detained Behçet Y. and Mevlüt D. CONFESSEDMevlüt D., one of the suspects, confessed to his crime, stating that Behçet Y. had argued with Gülcan Alıç out of jealousy and that they had strangled her to death. Mevlüt D. also mentioned that Fatma Alıç had witnessed the murder, and to eliminate the witness, they had also strangled Fatma to death, later burying both of them in the garden of a cottage. During the search conducted in the garden of the cottage shown by Mevlüt D. in the Sarıkaya neighborhood, human bones were found. The special team, which expanded the investigation, also detained Y.K., who was living with Behçet Y. in a religious marriage, and Y.K.'s sister A.Y. After their procedures at the police station, Mevlüt D., Behçet Y., Y.K., and A.Y. were taken to the hospital for a health check. In response to a journalist's question, Mevlüt D. stated that he committed the act under the influence of alcohol, saying, "I killed both of them. I regret it." The suspects were referred to the courthouse after the health check. A DNA SAMPLE WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE FAMILYOn the other hand, the bones extracted from the garden of the cottage were taken to the morgue of the Kahramanmaraş Forensic Medicine Institution. It was stated that a DNA sample would be taken from the Alıç family to compare with the bones, and after a match is made, the bones would be handed over to their relatives.
