The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has intensified penalties following Adana Demirspor's withdrawal from the match against Galatasaray. Changes have been made to the Football Disciplinary Regulations, which state that a club that leaves the field will receive a -9 point penalty in the following season, while its players will face bans ranging from 5 to 10 matches. Additionally, the new rules foresee heavy monetary fines for teams.
While the repercussions of Adana Demirspor's withdrawal from the match against Galatasaray continue, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has made changes to the Football Disciplinary Regulations. The federation has increased the penalties for teams that withdraw from the field.
-9 POINT DEDUCTION PENALTY FOR THE TEAM THAT WITHDRAWS FROM THE MATCH
Accordingly, a -9 point deduction penalty will be imposed on the team that withdraws from the match in the following season. Additionally, players may receive a ban of between 5 to 10 matches.
FINES OF UP TO 100,000 TL MAY BE IMPOSED
It was stated that heavy fines would also be imposed on clubs, and the TFF's statement included the following: "Club executives will face a 1-year ban; their officials may receive a 1-year ban or a prohibition from entering the locker room and the bench; - For the Super League, fines ranging from 20,000,000 TL to 100,000,000 TL, for the 1st League from 2,000,000 TL to 10,000,000 TL, for the 2nd League from 1,000,000 TL to 5,000,000 TL, for the 3rd League from 500,000 TL to 2,500,000 TL, players may face a ban of 5 to 10 matches, and in any case, the president of the club that withdraws from the field will receive a 1-year ban.
Provided that the provisions of the Football Match Regulations are reserved, a club that does not participate in the match despite being present or leaves a match that has already started will receive an additional (-9) point deduction penalty valid for the league it will participate in the following season."
