A person disguised as a customer entered a store in Fatih and stole 1,400 euros (approximately 67,700 TL) from a tourist's bag. The 28-year-old suspect, who was taken into custody, was found to have 42 criminal records with the police.

A theft incident occurred in a clothing store on Ordu Street in the Mimar Kemalettin neighborhood of the Fatih district of Istanbul. Around 1:30 PM, Y.B.M., who was in the store as a customer, realized that the money in her bag had been stolen and went to the police to file a complaint.

€1400 STOLEN FROM THE BAG

Police teams that arrived at the scene determined that the thief, who stole 1400 euros (approximately 67,700 TL) and 400 lira from Y.B.M.'s bag, was captured on security cameras.

The footage shows the moments when the suspect approached Y.B.M., who was shopping, and stole money from her bag while using the clothes in his hands to obscure the act.

CRIMINAL RECORD TURNED OUT TO BE EXTENSIVE

The police detained the suspect A.A. (28) in Fatih after identifying him. It was determined that the suspect A.A., who was caught by the Theft Bureau, had 42 previous criminal records with the police. After the suspect's processing, he was referred to the courthouse.
