The co-chair of the DEM Party Group, Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, announced that the Imralı Delegation will meet with President Erdoğan for the third time soon.
DEM Party Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit stated that the İmralı Delegation will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan soon. Thus, this meeting will be the third meeting of the İmralı Delegation with President Erdoğan. The delegation includes DEM Party Van Deputy and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Pervin Buldan and Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar.
THE FIRST MEETING WAS HELD ON APRIL 10
The first meeting went down in history as the first contact after 13 years. On April 10, the DEM Party İmralı Delegation, consisting of Van Deputy Pervin Buldan and the late Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly and Istanbul Deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder, met with President Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex in Beştepe.
THE SECOND MEETING WAS HELD ON JULY 7
The second meeting was held at the Presidential Complex on July 7. The delegation included Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Pervin Buldan and DEM Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar. AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and MIT President İbrahim Kalın were also present at the meeting. The meeting lasted about an hour.
The DEM Party İmralı Delegation met with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı, and then before their visit to Erdoğan, they gathered with DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları at the DEM Party Headquarters.
