An astonishing incident occurred in China. A three-year-old girl walked hand in hand with her mother to the hospital, with a knife lodged in her head.
The event was captured on camera in front of the Dongchuan People's Hospital in the southwest of the country. The footage showed the little girl staggering with a knife about 15 centimeters long embedded just above her ear, while her mother was seen beside her.
Initially, the mother claimed that the knife had accidentally hit her daughter when it flew out from under the sheet while she was changing it. However, according to hospital staff, the reality was different. Allegedly, the mother took the knife in an attempt to scare her daughter, who was having a tantrum. When she lost control, the knife became embedded in the little girl's head.
Mother Hu tried to remove the knife herself but, failing to do so, took her daughter directly to the hospital instead of calling an ambulance.
Fortunately, doctors intervened immediately. Neurosurgeons removed the knife through a procedure called a craniotomy. It was reported that the little girl's health condition is currently stable and she is being kept under observation.
Doctors stated that the miraculous survival was due to the fact that the girl's skull is still soft. They also pointed out that the mother's attempt to remove the knife herself could have been very dangerous.
The police announced that the incident was not intentional and occurred purely by accident.
This incredible event experienced by the little girl became a hot topic on Chinese social media. Millions were shocked while watching the footage and harshly criticized the mother's irresponsibility.
