Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated, "With the change made in the 'Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Application Guide,' candidates ranked within the top 100,000 can now choose law faculties." Previously, the upper limit for the success ranking for admission to law faculties was 125,000.
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced in a statement from his X account that the upper limit of the successful ranking for admission to law faculties has been raised to 100,000.

Minister Tunç stated; "The establishment of a reliable justice system is only possible with well-trained legal professionals who possess a legal notion. It is of great importance that our judges and prosecutors, who will make significant decisions on behalf of our nation, and our lawyers representing the defense, come to the bench better prepared both in terms of quality and quantity.
We are working towards this goal and taking our steps with determination. In order to further enhance the quality of legal education, following the elimination of the second education in law faculties and the termination of vertical transition from vocational schools, the success ranking for admission to the faculty has also been raised.

In line with the views we included in the Judicial Reform Strategy Document, which is the first document of #TurkeyCentury prepared by the Ministry of Justice, with the change made in the YKS application guide published by ÖSYM, candidates within the top 100,000 can now choose law faculties.
I sincerely believe that raising the success ranking for admission to law faculties, which train the human resources of the judiciary, will further elevate the quality of the education provided. I wish great success to the lawyers of our future on the challenging path they will take for the realization of justice."
THE UPPER LIMIT WAS 125 THOUSAND
On January 23, Tunç had stated that the success ranking in the university exam for admission to law faculties would be raised to 100,000. The previous upper limit for the success ranking for admission to law faculties was 125,000.
