The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, which took place on November 4-5, 2023. At the congress, Özgür Özel became the new chairman of the CHP. President Erdoğan made allegations of "irregularities" concerning the congress, while former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated during a broadcast he attended, "Silence is an acknowledgment."

A noteworthy development occurred regarding the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress. According to a report by KRT; an investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office concerning the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, which took place on November 4-5, 2023, at the Ankara Sports Hall.

ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN WITH 59.44%

On the first day of the congress (November 4), the election for the chairman was won by Özgür Özel, a member of parliament from Manisa and the party's group leader. Özel was elected as chairman by receiving the votes of 812 delegates in the second round of the second election (59.44%).
