WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident occurred on Friday, January 24, around 08:25 AM at the historic Tuesday market in Kadıköy. Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi and cellist Yasemin Akıncılar's son Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi reportedly had an argument with a group of cyclists, according to eyewitnesses. As the group dispersed after bystanders intervened, Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi went to the flea market to shop.
Minguzzi, who was shopping at the market, was stabbed five times by B.B., who is alleged to be part of the group he argued with. The other suspect, U.B., who was with him at the time, kicked the fallen Minguzzi. Minguzzi died in the hospital after 15 days of treatment. In the investigation related to the incident, it was learned that B.B. and U.B. were 15 years old, and they are facing a demand for 18 to 24 years in prison for the crime of 'intentional murder of a child'.
