The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has issued a statement regarding the controversial position that has stirred Turkish football.

In the Galatasaray-Sivasspor match, the incident where Barış Alper Yılmaz left the field on a stretcher and the referee Turgut Doman did not resort to a red card despite watching the position with a VAR warning overshadowed the match itself. Following the events, statements came from the Turkish Football Federation and TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu.

Speaking to Ahmet Çakar, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "Have you ever seen such a thing in your life? We will not allow anyone to play with our dignity and honor. Whether it's the referee or anyone else... I have never seen such disgusting behavior. It is unacceptable to condone the actions taken against a brother who plays for our national pride, our national team. We will do what is necessary..."

Following this, the Turkish Football Federation also made a statement regarding the incident. The statement included the following remarks;

"We are deeply saddened by the injury of Barış Alper Yılmaz, a valuable player of Galatasaray Sports Club and our National Team, due to an unsportsmanlike intervention during the Net Global Sivasspor - Galatasaray match played today.

As the Turkish Football Federation, we would like to inform the public that this unfortunate incident will be thoroughly investigated and that we will make every effort to ensure that those responsible face the necessary disciplinary penalties. The health and safety of every player who is a part of Turkish football is our top priority."

Galatasaray expected a red card after the incident that occurred in the final minutes of the match where they defeated Sivasspor 3-2.

In the 90+9th minute of the match, Rey Manaj committed a foul on Barış Alper. The referee Turgut Doman, who blew the whistle for the foul, showed a yellow card to Manaj. Doman, who watched the position on the monitor with VAR's warning, did not change his decision.

After the incident, Barış Alper Yılmaz, who was left on the ground in pain and injured, had to leave the field on a stretcher. Barış Alper had scored his team's third goal. This incident quickly became a topic of discussion.
