National para swimmer Defne Kurt won her third gold medal at the World Para Swimming Championships in just four days. Kurt became the first athlete in our history to achieve this.
National athlete Defne Kurt made history at the World Para Swimming Championships ongoing in Singapore.
3 GOLD MEDALS IN 4 DAYS
According to a statement from the Turkish Swimming Federation, national para swimmer Defne Kurt became the world champion in the women's 100 meters butterfly S10 category with a time of 1:03.91. With this achievement, Defne Kurt also became the new holder of the European record. The national athlete won her third gold medal on the fourth day of the same championship.
Our national athlete had also won a gold medal in the women's 50 meters freestyle S10 category with a time of 27.21 on September 21. On September 22, representing our country in the women's 200m individual medley S10 category at the World Para Swimming Championships held in Singapore, Defne also won her second gold medal with a time of 2:28.30.
