Turkey and Belarus have signed a protocol that extends the visa exemption period for international transporters. The 90-day visa exemption within one year will be increased to 90 days every 180 days.
Turkey and Belarus signed a protocol to extend the 90-day visa exemption period within 1 year to 90 days every 180 days for international transporters.
TRANSPORTATION EXEMPTION WITH BELARUS EXTENDED
The signing ceremony at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was attended by Turkey's Ambassador to Minsk, Güçlü Cem Işık, and Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Shestakov. During the ceremony, a protocol was signed to amend the Agreement on the Mutual Abolition of Visas dated March 29, 2013, between Belarus and Turkey.
Accordingly, the 90-day visa exemption period provided to citizens of both countries within 1 year will be extended to 90 days every 180 days for those engaged in international freight and passenger transportation, such as truck, bus, train, civil aircraft, and ship drivers and crew.
Ambassador Işık stated in his speech here that the protocol was signed at the joint request of the International Transport Associations in both countries, expressing, "I hope this protocol will positively affect trade between our countries." The protocol will come into effect after being accepted by the parliaments of both countries.
