According to a statement on the website of the İzmir Water and Sewerage Administration (İZSU), the planned and alternating water cut program has been updated due to the drought caused by irregular rainfall patterns.

As part of the new planning, water cuts will be implemented every day between 23:00 and 05:00 in the districts of Konak, Karabağlar, Çiğli, Karşıyaka, Balçova, Narlıdere, Güzelbahçe, Buca, Bayraklı, Bornova, Menemen, Gaziemir, and Menderes. Due to the decreasing water resources in the city, planned water cuts were initiated on August 6 between 23:00 and 05:00, and the cuts that were previously made every three days began to be implemented every two days starting from September 9.
