"The woman in front of you said, 'Don't argue,' and was assaulted in front of her spouse and child."

Satılmış Mayacı (38), who lives in the Kepez district of Antalya, went to a shopping mall with his wife and child last Saturday. After shopping, when Mayacı got into his car in the parking lot, he wanted to warn two people who were arguing with a female driver.

“DON'T ARGUE,” HE SAID, AND WAS ATTACKED

Mayacı, who warned the two drivers in the other vehicle by saying, “The woman in front of you, don’t argue,” was attacked. The individuals named M.B. and İ.B., who got out of their vehicle, assaulted the man who was warning them. While Mayacı's wife and child in the car experienced great fear, nearby citizens tried to calm M.B. and İ.B.

THE ATTACKERS BROKE HIS PHONE

When Mayacı started to record the individuals attacking him with his mobile phone, the attackers threw the phone to the ground and broke it. After escaping from the two attackers, Mayacı got into his car and drove away. Since he had scratches on his hand and neck, Mayacı obtained a medical report and went to the police station to file a complaint against the attackers.

“I WAS ATTACKED WHILE TRYING TO PROTECT SOMEONE ELSE”

Satılmış Mayacı, who stated that he could not make sense of what happened, said, “I saw a vehicle trying to exit the parking lot in the direction of the entrance of the shopping mall. At that moment, when I saw that the people in the vehicle were arguing with a female driver, I warned them by saying, ‘The person in front of you is a woman, don’t argue.’ Suddenly, they shouted, ‘What do you care?’ and after getting out of the vehicle, they started to walk towards me. There were two of them, but one was trying to hold me. After a while, both of them walked towards me together and started cursing. They attacked me. They held my hand and neck, causing scratches. My wife and child started screaming in fear in the car. When they saw that I was recording a video, they took my phone and threw it to the ground and broke it. I was attacked while trying to protect someone else. I filed a complaint against these city thugs.”
