The legal dispute between French giant PSG and former player Kylian Mbappe is escalating and moving to the European stage. The French star is demanding a total of 55 million euros in unpaid wages from his former club. Mbappe's demands include salaries for the months of April, May, and June, the final installment of the contract extension bonus, and the "ethical bonus" related to the last months of his contract. PSG insists on not making these payments and claims they are based on a verbal agreement. APPEALS REJECTEDThe French Football Federation (FFF) ruled twice that PSG failed to meet its salary obligations to Mbappé. PSG's appeals have been rejected. UEFA RULES PUTTING PRESSURE ON PSGAccording to the French press, due to UEFA's financial stability and club licensing rules, PSG may risk its participation in the Champions League. UEFA's regulations require participating clubs to make all salary and bonus payments to their employees on time. Article 82 of UEFA stipulates the following conditions: In each licensing season, all debts to club employees must be settled by July 15, October 15, and January 15. Clubs are required to submit documents to UEFA proving that they have fulfilled all financial obligations by the specified dates.
