A young girl who went to a hotel with her boyfriend in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul was found dead in the room. While the police teams continue their investigation into the incident, it has been learned that the girl was diabetic and that they had gone to the pharmacy to get insulin during the night.
Last night in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, a young girl named Gaye Akel met with a person identified as her boyfriend, C.A. The couple, who wanted to come to the hotel in Arnavutköy using public transportation from Sultangazi, stopped at a restaurant when Gaye Akel, who was known to be diabetic, fell ill on the way. They then set off again towards the hotel. Around 5:15 PM, the couple arrived at the hotel and went up to their hotel room after checking in at the reception. After spending some time in the hotel room, when Gaye Akel fell ill again, C.A., who is said to be her boyfriend, wanted to go to the pharmacy to get medicine. Initially unable to get medicine from the pharmacy he went to, C.A. returned to the hotel room and went back to the pharmacy with his girlfriend Akel. The couple, who obtained insulin from the pharmacy, then returned to the hotel room.
USED MEDICATION IN THE HOTEL ROOM, PASSED AWAY IN THE MORNING HOURS
After spending time together in the hotel room, Gaye Akel fell ill again later in the night. C.A., who helped his girlfriend take a shower, allegedly fell asleep afterward. When he woke up in the morning, he noticed that his girlfriend was not breathing and asked for help from the reception, requesting that medical teams come to the scene. Following the reports, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon their initial examination, the teams determined that the young girl had passed away approximately 2 hours earlier. Police teams were also dispatched to the scene. The police initiated an investigation regarding the suspicious death. While the young girl's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Morgue, her boyfriend C.A. was sent to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station. The teams' investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
