Semih Çelik, who brutally murdered two young women in Istanbul before committing suicide, has become a topic of discussion in Turkey. Following the incident that sparked reactions across the country, a young man who bears a resemblance to Çelik rebelled against the bullying he faced on social media. The young man shared his experiences in a video, detailing the lynching directed at him and his girlfriend. They ask my girlfriend, 'When will we see you in the news?'" Expressing his victimization, he mentioned that he was unfairly targeted due to his physical resemblance to the killer Semih Çelik, and he said that these reactions were psychologically challenging for him. After the murder, the young man was subjected to numerous messages and comments from people, saying, "I do not deserve this situation. People make such comments without knowing me. I do not want to be treated like a killer because of my hair and facial features," he lamented, and shortly after, he shared a video of himself cutting his hair. WHAT HAPPENED?It was determined that the suspect, who committed suicide by jumping from the walls in Fatih, Istanbul, had killed two women in two different districts beforehand. In the incident that occurred on Fevzipaşa Street in Derviş Ali Neighborhood, 19-year-old Semih Çelik climbed to the Edirnekapı walls and beheaded his ex-girlfriend İkbal Uzuner with a knife, throwing her head down. Afterward, Çelik jumped from the walls with a rope around his neck. It was revealed that Çelik also killed his girlfriend Ayşenur Halil in Eyüpsultan at 3:30 PM.
