Theater artist, film and TV actor Şener Kökkaya passed away at the age of 82 in Adana. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism published a condolence message on their social media account for theater artist Kökkaya, who also appeared in many TV series and films. The message stated, "We have learned with deep sorrow about the passing of Şener Kökkaya, one of our retired artists from Adana State Theater. May he rest in peace, and we extend our condolences to his family and loved ones." Artist Şener Kökkaya will be laid to rest tomorrow at 17:00 at Ankara Karşıyaka Cemetery. WHO IS ŞENER KÖKKAYA?Born in 1942, Kökkaya started his artistic career with amateur theater in Eskişehir in 1957. He appeared in many plays at Eskişehir Chamber Theater and Eskişehir Municipality City Theater, and also worked as a guest actor in State Theaters. The artist, who served as an actor and stage manager at Ankara Art Theater until 1982, gained popularity among a wide audience with the program "5 Minutes" broadcasted on TRT in the 1970s. Kökkaya also worked at Adana State Theater and appeared in numerous films and TV series.
