27-year-old Uğur Çalışkan, who went missing after leaving through the window of the house he was staying in on February 19 in Hatay, has not been heard from for 124 days. The family, who have been waiting in hope for days, asked anyone who sees their son or knows his whereabouts to report to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
MISSING FOR 124 DAYS
Uğur Çalışkan, who came from Van to Hatay for work and lived in the Serinyol neighborhood of Antakya district, left his uncle's house where he was staying as a guest on the morning of February 19 by breaking the mosquito net of the window.
After Çalışkan, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder three years ago and was reported to be using medication, went missing, a search operation was initiated upon his family's application.
BELONGINGS FOUND, HIMSELF NOT REACHED
In the efforts coordinated by AFAD, clothes, a mobile phone, a wallet, and slippers belonging to Uğur Çalışkan were found in a rocky area. However, despite all searches, no trace of the young man was found.
The halted search efforts were restarted after his brother Tarık Çalışkan's social media post prompted a directive from Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi. Witness statements were taken as part of the investigation, and it was learned that Çalışkan's mobile phone was sent to Ankara for examination.
"EVEN THE SMALLEST INFORMATION CAN REUNITE US WITH UĞUR"
Tarık Çalışkan, stating that they have not heard from their brother for 124 days, said that as a family they are experiencing great pain.
Çalışkan called on anyone who has seen his brother or has even the slightest information about the day he disappeared to report it to the 112 Emergency Call Center, saying, "My mother, father, and family are devastated. We want to be reunited with Uğur as soon as possible. Even the smallest piece of information can lead us to Uğur."
