The UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has imposed sanctions on RAMS Başakşehir, one of the three Turkish clubs it monitors for failing to fulfill their obligations, including a ban from European competitions in the 2024-25 season, squad restrictions, and a fine of 100,000 euros. Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor, on the other hand, have not received any penalties as they have met their financial targets.

NO PENALTIES FOR BEŞİKTAŞ AND TRABZONSPOR

In a statement from UEFA, it was announced that Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor from Turkey, as well as Milan (Italy), Inter (Italy), Monaco (France), Olympique Marseille (France), Paris Saint-Germain (France), and Royal Antwerp (Belgium), have been found to have met the interim financial targets for the 2023 fiscal year and therefore no penalties have been imposed on these clubs within the framework of financial regulations.

RAMS BAŞAKŞEHİR COULD FACE BAN FROM EUROPE

However, Başakşehir may face penalties if the club fails to comply with the football earnings rule in the 2024-25 season due to partially exceeding the projected final financial target for the 2023-24 season. These penalties include being banned from participating in the first UEFA club competition they qualify for in the following three seasons, limiting the number of players the club can register for the A List to 23 for the 2024-25 season, restricting the registration of newly transferred players to the A List for the 2024-25 season, and a fine of 100,000 euros.

In addition, Aston Villa (England) has been fined 60,000 euros and Olympique Marseille (France) has been fined 20,000 euros for submitting their financial information late. Roma (Italy) has been fined 2 million euros for partially exceeding the interim target for the 2023 fiscal year.
