A Turkish citizen named Tuğcan Işık had an accident in Bali, Indonesia and is being treated in a private hospital. The Turkish Embassy in Indonesia has announced that they have taken the transfer of Tuğcan Işık to Turkey for treatment into consideration due to the lack of sufficient financial resources for his treatment. According to the allegations on social media, it is claimed that the Turkish citizen will be brought to Turkey with the financial support of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. In response to these allegations, the Ambassador of Indonesia, Talip Küçükcan, made a statement on social media, stating that "Tuğcan Işık had an accident in Bali and was treated in a private hospital, but as soon as it was brought to the attention of our Embassy that there was not enough financial resources to continue the treatment, we have taken the transfer of our patient to Turkey into consideration." Ambassador Küçükcan stated that "Contrary to what was claimed on a social media account, it was not said that 'there is not much we can do' as the Embassy. We contacted our THY Jakarta and Bali office managers and a solution was found within 24 hours. Our patient will be brought to Turkey with the first available flight." In his statement, Küçükcan emphasized that "All the institutions of our state stand by our citizens abroad." and thanked Tuğcan's helpful friends, Embassy staff, THY officials, and all institutions, saying "Our citizens are our priority."
