In the Polatlı district of Ankara, 1.5-year-old Muhsin Coşkun is claimed to have been kidnapped by his grandmother and grandfather. The mother, Sıla Coşkun, who says she has not heard from her child for 8 days, explained that the incident occurred due to a family feud with her husband. Sıla, who was assaulted, is worried about her child's life. According to allegations, on October 30, in the Polatlı district, Sıla Coşkun's (20) father-in-law M.C. (58) and mother-in-law H.C. (46) wanted to see their 1.5-year-old grandson Muhsin Coşkun. M.C. and his wife H.C., along with a relative named M.D. (32), went to the house where their son and daughter-in-law lived. They assaulted their 5-month-pregnant daughter-in-law Sıla Coşkun, who was alone at home at the time. M.C. and H.C. told Coşkun that she needed to divorce her son and took their grandson Muhsin Coşkun with them as they left the house. It was also claimed that the father-in-law and mother-in-law told their daughter-in-law not to resist, otherwise her brother would be killed. After the incident, Sıla Coşkun stated that she reported it to the police and expressed her concern for her son's life, whom she has not heard from for 8 days. Coşkun stated that this incident occurred because she was not accepted by her husband's family, despite having no problems with her husband, and said she was waiting for the moment she would reunite with her son. The mother Coşkun, who noted that she had not been able to get along with her husband's family for a long time, recorded that she was constantly subjected to threats and that her son's whereabouts were being hidden. "THEY TOOK MY CHILD AWAY"Speaking about the incident, Sıla Coşkun said, "I do not communicate with my mother-in-law and father-in-law. They come to see my child every weekend. That day, they said they would come to see my child like any other day, take him with them, and bring him back in the morning. Since I do not talk to them, they came to the house with my husband's cousin. When I opened the door, all three of them entered and told me, 'Either you give us the child, or the foreign people after your brother will kill him.' I resisted; I did not want to give my child. At that moment, I was assaulted by my mother-in-law. They took my child and left. The next day, I waited for my child, but they did not bring him. I went to the police and filed a complaint," she said. "They say, 'The child is with me; whoever can take him, come and take him'" "THEY NEVER LOVED ME"Coşkun, who said her father-in-law is hiding her son's whereabouts, stated, "My child has been missing for a week. When I called my husband's family, they told me that I needed to give them custody of the child, otherwise they would never show their faces again. They think that my husband and I are not getting along and want us to divorce. They did this because of that. There is no problem between my husband and me. We have never had a serious argument. His family never loved me; we do not get along. His mother is a bit obsessed with my husband; she wants him to always be by her side. The kidnappers are obvious, but my son is missing. We went to the addresses where the child could be taken, but we could not find him. When we asked, they say, 'The child is with me; whoever can take him, come and take him,'" she said. "I AM 5 MONTHS PREGNANT AND YET I WAS ASSAULTED"Coşkun, who expressed her concern for her son's life, said, "I am worried about my child's life. I do not know who he is with right now. I do not know what he is eating or drinking, or if he is looking for his mother. I have been apart for 8 days; there has been no news from him. I have no guess about where he could be. We checked all the homes of acquaintances, but he was not there. They were constantly taking him back and forth. I had trusted them and gave him to them, but this time they did not bring him back. I am currently 5 months pregnant, and yet I was assaulted. They cursed at me and insulted me. When I did not want to give my child, they came at me even more. I miss my child very much. On the day of the incident, I reported it to the judicial authorities and also went to the prosecutor's office. Investigations are ongoing. We will follow up," she said.
