Three suspects caught stealing in the Gaziosmanpaşa district of Istanbul were locked in the market by the employees. The suspects attempted to escape from the market by breaking the window with a fire extinguisher.

In the incident that occurred around 19:00 in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood, employees noticed three individuals trying to steal in a chain market on Cebeci Street and locked the door while the suspects were inside, then called the police.

The events that took place in the market were captured by the mobile phone cameras of bystanders. The footage shows the suspects inside the market throwing products from the shelves and at the customers present. In the continuation of the footage, one of the suspects is seen breaking the market's window with a fire extinguisher in an attempt to escape.

One of the suspects locked in the market by the employees broke the window with a fire extinguisher. The suspects, who were taken into custody by the police teams that arrived at the scene, were taken to the police station while the police began examining the security cameras in the workplace.

The employee of the bakery located on the same street stated, "They were stealing inside. The employees caught them, and then a dispute broke out. They attacked the employees, and they locked the door. They broke the window with a fire extinguisher. The police caught them," explaining the incident.
