The horrific incident in Brazil has caused a great uproar. An angry crowd gathered in the city of Jutai lynched a suspect accused of abusing a 19-month-old baby. The crowd, which gathered in front of the police station, set the suspect on fire. Enraged by this horrific crime committed during the interrogation, the public besieged and occupied the police station building. Despite all efforts by the Civil Police, Military Police, and Municipal Civil Guards (GCM), the perpetrator was taken away from the police station by citizens. Eyewitnesses stated that many people occupied the 56th Integrated Police District (DIP) and brought the perpetrator outside. The man who was lynched was beaten by the crowd and set on fire after gasoline was poured on his body. Camera footage of the incident was chilling. The recorded images of the perpetrator being burned alive also included moments when the crowd applauded the lynching.
