According to claims, in İzmir, Prof. Dr. Akyıldız met Ercan Kutlu and Aslı Uğural Sanlav through his former tenant. The duo, who visited the professor, received a total of 650 thousand dollars (22 million TL) from the retired professor with the promise of investment.

The duo, who stated that they would invest the money in their own company and multiply it, later disappeared. The suspects, who were aware of the professor's complaint after he realized he had been defrauded, also assaulted him.

I have filed complaints against Ercan Kutlu and Aslı Uğural Sanlav for defrauding me in the amount of 650 thousand dollars."
