Two children who were trapped in the schoolyard in Antalya due to the door being locked while they were playing, called for help from passing citizens when they couldn't open the door. Police teams that arrived at the scene, unable to reach the school authorities, dispatched teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department. The fire brigade team rescued the children from where they were with the help of a ladder. THEY ASKED PASSING CITIZENS FOR HELPThe incident occurred around 18:45 in the garden of Gültekin Primary School located on Yunus Emre Street in the Gebizli neighborhood of the Muratpaşa district. Two friends, Halim Fırat B. and Berat Ç., who started playing in the schoolyard of Gültekin Primary School after leaving school in the evening, did not realize that time had passed. The two friends, who did not notice that the schoolyard gate had been locked by the school staff, found themselves unable to open the door when they wanted to leave after a while. The two children called for help from passing citizens at the garden gate. With the report from citizens to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police teams that arrived at the scene tried to reach the school staff and the school principal. After the police teams were unable to contact the school authorities, teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the area. The fire brigade team that arrived at the address rescued the children from where they were with the help of a ladder.
