They had announced a profit of 37 billion dollars! The Russian company suddenly disappeared without a trace.

The company named Banknota LLC, which was able to make dazzling profits only in Russia, where only energy companies could pass, suddenly disappeared without a trace.

After announcing a profit of $37 billion, Banknota LLC disappeared. The company was investigated by the Russian media outlet RTVI and reported by The Moscow Times.

In an article titled "Russia's most profitable company you've never heard of," RTVI revealed an unexpected discovery in the data of Russian companies' revenues from the previous year.

According to financial reports, the company generated 3.7 trillion rubles ($40.4 billion) in revenue last year and achieved a net profit of 3.4 trillion rubles ($37.1 billion).

This profit was higher than any other company except Rosneft and Gazprom. Banknota's website is no longer available, but it was mentioned on the site that the company provided mortgage loans, car loans, and interest-bearing loans for businesses.

OWNER'S BACKGROUND

RTVI pointed out that the company does not have a banking license. The Unified State Register of Legal Entities of the country stated that Dmitry Frolov, who had previously been convicted of minor theft crimes and considered "unreliable" by the Federal Tax Service, is the sole owner of Banknota.

RTVI announced that the company was established in June 2023 in facilities that included a business center and a basement of a house, along with four other companies. However, no offices were found at the addresses.

ONLY THE SIGN REMAINS

The article included an image of the Banknota sign on the glass facade of a shopping center located on a highway in Moscow.

After operating for a year, the company suddenly disappeared. According to the RTVI report, Banknota had advertised its services in regional newspapers, including the Volgograd version of the business newspaper RBC. However, how the company earned trillions of rubles has not yet been determined.

COULD HAVE TRANSFERRED MONEY ABROAD

Experts stated that brokers who mediate between banks and borrowers do not require a license, but it is not possible to achieve such high profits in mortgage and car loans.

Last December, Banknota reported to the Russian tax authorities that it had a branch in Belarus, but the absence of such a branch in Belarusian commercial databases did not go unnoticed.

Experts predict that the company may have transferred money abroad before disappearing.
