A 839-page indictment was prepared regarding the 'Casper' criminal organization, with 145 detained and 223 defendants. The indictment revealed that the leaders of the 'Casper' criminal organization had ordered the murder of a 16-year-old boy, whom they claimed was a member of the 'Dalton' criminal organization, by three individuals aged between 16 and 20. In relation to the murder of Hüseyin Asil (16) in Bahçelievler, it was determined that Batıkan K. was called to Istanbul by a leader of the 'Casper' criminal organization, whom he met through an 'online game' site, and was included in the murder plan.
The indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office recorded that the organization's leader was İsmail Atız, and its executives were İsmayil Göleli, Hüseyin Kaan Akkuş, İsa Doğan, Mehmet Erhan Atız, Serhat Başakçi, and Süleyman Doğan. The indictment stated that these individuals played an active role in planning actions, procuring weapons, organizing safe houses, recruiting members, and managing threats and robbery processes.
It was reported that the organization began to gain power after the dissolution of some local criminal structures active between 2008 and 2018, and that it was restructured under the leadership of İsmail Atız after 2020. As of 2021, the organization was managed from abroad.
POWER STRUGGLE WITH THE DALTONS
The indictment stated that the 'Casper' armed criminal organization and the 'Dalton' armed criminal organization were in a power struggle as rival groups in Bahçelievler, and that numerous armed conflicts had occurred between the parties.
MURDER PLAN IN THE SAFE HOUSE
In this context, details regarding the murder of Hüseyin Asil (16) on March 6, 2025, in Bahçelievler also emerged. The leaders of the 'Casper' criminal organization identified three individuals aged between 16 and 20 to carry out the murder of Hüseyin Asil, whom they claimed was a member of the 'Dalton' organization. These individuals were placed in a safe house in Bahçelievler.
"HE WAS GOING TO PROVIDE ME WITH SHELTER"
In his statement, Batıkan K. said, "I was living in Muğla with my friend Hasan E. and his family. My father lives in Izmir, and my mother lives in Kuşadası. I am an only child and do not live with either my mother or father. I resided in Muğla from mid-2023 until late 2024. On March 3, 2025, I came to Istanbul by bus from Muğla. My aim was to find a job here. I do not know anyone here. A person I met through an online game called 'Mobile Legend,' who introduced himself as 'Burak,' invited me to Istanbul. He said, 'You can find a job here.' He was also going to provide me with shelter. I never met Burak face to face. I spoke to him several times on the phone, once via video call. Our video call was through an application called WhatsApp. When I arrived in Istanbul, I spoke to Burak on the phone. He sent me a location and told me I could stay at the house at that location. I do not know who the house belongs to or its address.
When I went to this house, a person named Ferman greeted me. He took me to the house, gave me the key, and left," he said. In the evaluation made in this context, it was understood that Burak Bulut, code-named İsmayil Göleli, was recruiting new members for the organization to use in actions and providing shelter for new members. It was stated that the leadership and management cadre of the 'Casper' armed criminal organization resorted to all available methods to recruit members into the organization, actively using online gaming sites and applications in this regard. The indictment noted that the lack of interest experienced by children within their families, domestic violence, existing economic conditions within the family, peer groups, educational deficiencies, or lack of supervision, when found together, increased the tendency of children towards crime, leading them to join criminal organizations to gain respect from their families, peers, and schools, and that it was determined they were part of the organization under the instructions of the organization leaders and executives.
THREATENING BANNER TO THE DALTONS
16-year-old Ömrüm K. stated that he met Hamuş Atız and İsa Doğan about four years ago at a pastry shop, and that he started greeting them because Hamuş Atız helped him take a photo with a rap music artist he liked, but he had no other familiarity with them. It was noted that Ömrüm K. stated that about two years ago, he took a group photo with members of the 'Casper' organization during the holiday in Şirinevler, and that he heard about the ongoing war between the 'Dalton' criminal organization and the 'Casper' criminal organization about 1.5 years ago. He mentioned that Ahmet Cangi, who was from the Casper group and whom he knew from the neighborhood, told him that they would open a banner to intimidate the Dalton criminal organization, which read, "Daltons and their supporters cannot enter this neighborhood; those who do will pay the heaviest price, Casper." He stated that he entered the photo to make it look crowded around the banner, that they wore masks while taking the photo, and that the photo was shared on the organization's social media accounts.
"BRO, A TARGET HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED, RUN TO THE LOCATION I'M GOING TO SEND YOU"
The indictment stated that Ömrüm K. heard that Ahmet Cangi was killed about a month ago by a girl named Deren Su, as a result of the guidance of the Dalton organization, and that he heard Deren Su received 1.5 million lira for this job. He stated that due to the murder of Ahmet Cangi, on March 4, 2025, while he was at a construction site with his father for electrical work, İsa Doğan called him from a number with a foreign country code and said he wanted to give him a phone, and that he did not accept this offer. He mentioned that İsa Doğan wanted him to call him without contacting anyone when he went to Şirinevler, and that when he went to Şirinevler, he called İsa Doğan, who sent an unfamiliar person to him.
Ömrüm K. stated that the person who came to him took him to a house used by the organization as a hideout, that he was searched upon entering the house, that his phone and account card were taken, and when he asked why, he was told, referring to İsa Doğan, 'It was Çaki's order.' He said he went upstairs, where Batıkan K. and Bekir İ. were present, and that he saw these individuals for the first time there. Ömrüm K. mentioned that he had heard of Bekir İ. from previous workplace shooting incidents, that Bekir gave him a gun, and that they performed assembly and disassembly operations together. About 30 minutes later, İsa Doğan video-called Bekir and said, 'Bro, a target has been identified, run to the location I'm going to send you, take the long magazine,' he stated that Bekir left the house, and that he also gave Bekir the long magazine, and that they waited in the house with Batıkan, and about 40 minutes later, Bekir returned out of breath and said, 'We missed it,' and that he understood that the action did not take place due to the presence of police at the scene.
ORGANIZATION EXECUTIVE: WHAT WILL YOU DO IF THE ONES WHO SHOT AHMET SHOW UP?
The indictment stated that Ömrüm K.
İsa Doğan stated that he spoke on the phone and mentioned that Ahmet Cangi was killed by the Daltons and that this information was shared among the members of the Daltons. He expressed words like, "What would you do if the ones who shot Ahmet come in front of you?" and said that if he faced such a situation, there would be nothing he could do. He then mentioned that the phone call ended, and after a while, he heard that Hamuş Atız offered to take Bekir abroad, but Bekir did not accept this. He stated that three people slept at home that night and that they woke up around noon the next day.
"YOU KNOW THE PLACE, GET THE KIDS READY"
Ömrüm K. mentioned that around 14:00, İsa Doğan called Bekir and said, "Brother, you know the place, get the kids ready, Ömrüm will come with you," and that they all left the house with weapons. He stated that the long magazine was with Bekir, that they got into a taxi, that they initially went to the wrong address, and that İsa got angry about this situation. He recounted that a person named Burak joined the meeting and directed them by saying, "Brother, he will run away, get out of the taxi," and that they got out of the taxi at the Yenibosna metro station.
"IF YOU DON'T SHOOT, I'LL BLOW YOU UP TO THE STREET CORNER"
Ömrüm K. stated that when they arrived at the location, Bekir crossed to the opposite sidewalk, and Batıkan spoke with İsa Doğan on the phone, telling him, "Brother, you won't do anything, you took the gun for self-defense." He mentioned that after a while, Hamuş Atız called Batıkan's phone and said, "If you don't shoot, I'll blow you up to the street corner." He stated that Batıkan showed him photos of the target individuals, that they continued walking, and that Batıkan moved to the right, pulled out his gun, and started shooting. He noted that Bekir also shot, and he fired three shots without aiming, not seeing who was hit or injured.
THE ORGANIZATION IS EFFECTIVE ON CHILDREN WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES
The indictment stated that the propaganda shares made through social media accounts managed by the leadership and management cadre of the 'Casperlar' armed criminal organization were effective on children and young individuals affected by physical and psychological problems. It was noted that many observations were made during the investigation regarding children who were excluded and not accepted by their families and surroundings, who acted with the motivation to prove themselves and aimed to find a place in social life, thus voluntarily joining the organization.
CALLED TO ISTANBUL AND PLACED IN A SAFE HOUSE
In the evaluation made within the scope of the investigation, it was stated that the suspect Batıkan K., a member of the organization, was called to Istanbul by İsmail Göleli, one of the organization's leaders, to participate in an armed attack, and that he was placed in a safe house belonging to the organization. It was later mentioned that Bekir İ., codenamed Murat, and the juvenile offender Ömrüm K. were also placed in the same safe house by the organization's leader İsa Doğan's instructions and that they stayed there until the time of the action. On the date of the incident, it was reported that they went to the location where Hüseyin Asil, Şehmus, Enes, and Furkan were present, and that the location information was provided by the organization's leaders. It was determined that the suspects were in constant contact with the organization's leaders İsmail Atız, İsa Doğan, and İsmail Göleli before the action, and that the suspects were divided into two separate groups and fired at the complainants in a series manner based on the evidence from video examination records and crime scene evidence.
