Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech from the United Nations podium was covered in two different ways by the world media. The media in Western countries, which pursue policies close to Israel, notably ignored the protests that Netanyahu faced in the hall. The world media was divided over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been giving orders to massacre innocent civilians in Gaza for nearly a year. As Netanyahu entered the hall to address the 79th General Assembly of the UN, many officials, including the Turkish delegation, left the room. However, instead of showing the empty hall, Western media gave extensive coverage to Netanyahu's propaganda. ONCE AGAIN, THEY PLAYED THE THREE MONKEYSFrom the podium, Netanyahu defended the massacres carried out by the Israeli army in Gaza and the West Bank. He hurled threats towards Lebanon and Iran. While Western media reported Netanyahu's words verbatim to their followers, they imposed a blackout on the protests organized against him both inside and outside the hall. The American newspaper Washington Post, which reported the speech, did not provide details about the empty hall due to the protests in its headline "Netanyahu spoke at the UN during calls for a ceasefire." The New York Times also did not mention the protests against Netanyahu in its article titled "Challenging Netanyahu Declares Israel 'Won' During Lebanon Attack." The British news agency Reuters drew attention by headlining Netanyahu's words "Israel wants peace." Social media users emphasized that Reuters was clearly engaging in Israeli propaganda with this headline, stating that if Israel truly wanted peace, it would not have massacred thousands of innocent civilians until now. In contrast, the British newspaper The Guardian shared videos of many foreign representatives leaving the hall following the announcement of Netanyahu's entrance. AS IF IN UNISONThe American Association Press highlighted Netanyahu's words that they would continue to fight until they achieved their targets against Hezbollah. However, it did not mention the 540 civilians killed in Lebanon. The French newspaper Le Figaro and China's official news agency Xinhua did not include protest footage, instead focusing on Netanyahu's threats to continue striking Lebanon. The Russian official news agency Itar Tass only reported Netanyahu's statements that he expected total victory in Gaza. ARAB MEDIA DIVERGED FROM WESTERN MEDIAArab media, on the other hand, closely followed the protests in the hall in detail. Gulf Times, one of the important media organizations in the Gulf, also reported Hamas's reaction to Netanyahu's speech at the UN, while another significant press organization in the region, Asharq Al-Awsat, reported the reaction of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to Netanyahu. MENA news emphasized that Netanyahu faced protests during his speech. Al Jazeera separately reported Netanyahu's words targeting the United Nations as an "anti-Israel community" and the protests held in front of the hotel where Netanyahu stayed in New York.
