A group predominantly composed of women staged a protest in front of the house of a jeweler who had ceased operations some time ago and whom they claimed had not returned their savings that they had entrusted to him. During the protest, which was heavily secured by police teams, some participants experienced health issues.
A group, mostly consisting of women, gathered in the Culture Neighborhood of the central district in Düzce and stated that they had entrusted their savings to a jeweler who is claimed to have stopped his activities some time ago.
THEY PROTESTED IN FRONT OF THE JEWELER'S HOUSE
The group, who said they wanted to get back the money and gold they had given, protested in front of the jeweler's house. The victims claimed that the jeweler had defrauded many people.
SOME FAINTED
Police teams took extensive security measures in the area where the protest was held. Health teams were called for an elderly woman who fainted during the protest and claimed to be a cancer patient. The woman received medical attention in the ambulance.
THEY REQUESTED HELP FROM AUTHORITIES
Some victims claimed that they had gone to the jeweler several times but were delayed for various reasons. After hours of protest, the victims demanded that the authorities take action regarding the issue and restore their rights.
