In her statement to the gendarmerie, G.Ç., Mehmet Çiftçi's wife, said, "Atilla T. took my husband's phone and made me unlock it. He deleted the conversations and messages inside and put the phone back. Later, to ensure that the phone signals would not be detected, Atilla T. said, 'Let's go to Izmir, you later say that you fought with your husband, he left my side, and that he had previously attempted suicide.' I asked my husband what they did to him. Atilla T. told me, 'We threw him from the cliff to the side of the road' and said, 'Either you will go to jail or this will happen.' I then expressed that I was not at ease with this, that my husband should not be thrown away like trash, and that he should have a grave. After that, we all left the scene together," it was learned.
