They stopped the driver by blocking the road with an official vehicle and beat him up.

IBB employees in Istanbul Ümraniye stopped the car they were arguing with in traffic and assaulted the driver.

The incident took place on July 31. Allegedly, Ö.D., who picked up his sister from the hospital where she works in Ümraniye late at night, had his way blocked by an official vehicle with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality license plates. Two out of four people who got out of the IBB vehicle assaulted Ö.D. in front of his sister.

CITIZENS INTERVENED

Ö.D., who was forcibly taken out of the car, stated that there was a misunderstanding and that the person he argued with on the road was not him. The municipal employees left the scene with the intervention of the surrounding citizens. The moment when the young man was assaulted was captured on security cameras.

FILED A COMPLAINT

Ö.D. stated that he had never argued with the people who assaulted him in traffic before and that he was assaulted for no reason. Ö.D. obtained a medical report of the assault from the hospital and filed a complaint against the individuals who assaulted him.
