Sivasspor faced a strong reaction from its fans after drawing 1-1 away against Adana Demirspor. The red-and-white team, which missed the victory with a late goal, was protested in front of the facilities upon returning to Sivas.
In the 26th week of the Trendyol 1st League, Sivasspor, who visited the Adana representative, took a 1-0 lead in the match but ended up leaving the field with a 1-1 draw after conceding a goal in the 88th minute. With this result, the Sivas team missed out on two important points in the final moments, while the home team celebrated their third point in the league.
SIVASSPOR FANS STORM THE FACILITIES
After the match, the team returning to Sivas faced protests from groups of fans gathered in front of the Sivasspor facilities. The fan groups named "Legend" and "Elli Sekiz" reacted to the team and management due to the recent performances and the course of the league. In the evening, a crowd gathered in front of the facilities and expressed their discontent towards the players by chanting slogans as the team bus entered. Security forces took extensive security measures in the area against any possible negativity.
MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL STAFF WENT TO THE FANS
Following the developments, Head Coach İsmet Taşdemir, striker Rey Manaj, and Club President Burak Özçoban went to the fans with security measures and held a meeting for a while. Club President Özçoban stated that they understood the fans' reaction and expressed that necessary steps would be taken for the team to recover. After the protest, the large group dispersed without any incidents.
