This time, the attack on vessels allegedly carrying drugs in the Pacific Ocean came not from the United States, but from neighboring Mexico. Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch announced that the army seized a submarine carrying approximately 4 tons of cocaine in 179 packages in the Pacific Ocean and that 3 people were detained.
A major blow was dealt to drug traffickers in Mexico.

Mexico's Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch stated that the Mexican Navy captured a submarine carrying approximately 4 tons of cocaine in 179 packages as part of ongoing surveillance activities in the Pacific Ocean, adding that 3 individuals were detained during the operation.
"DIRECTLY DEALT MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF A BLOW TO THE FINANCIAL STRUCTURES OF ORGANIZED CRIME"
Harfuch expressed that around 10 tons of drugs were seized in operations conducted at sea last week, stating, "This dealt a direct blow worth millions of dollars to the financial structures of organized crime by preventing millions of doses from reaching the streets and protecting the safety of Mexican families."
U.S. ATTACKS IN THE CARIBBEAN
On the other hand, it is known that the U.S., Mexico's neighbor, has attacked vessels allegedly carrying drugs in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific under the orders of President Donald Trump, resulting in numerous fatalities. The U.S. military's actions have sparked discussions of "extrajudicial killings" in the international public arena.
