THEY ATTACKED WITH KICKS AND PUNCHES IN TRAFFIC
The incident occurred yesterday on Bağdat Avenue. A dispute that started between two vehicle drivers quickly escalated into a fight. A passenger in one of the vehicles also joined the fight. Following the sharing of the footage of those moments on social media, teams from the Istanbul Police Department initiated an investigation.
Investigations revealed that the individuals involved in the fight were driver V.A. (40), passenger Ö.Ç. (32) in the vehicle, and the other vehicle's driver M.E.S. (27). Ö.Ç. and M.E.S., who were found to have assaulted each other, were quickly apprehended and taken into custody by the police.
A TOTAL OF 540 THOUSAND LIRA FINE
Administrative fines totaling 540 thousand lira were imposed on the suspects under the relevant articles of the Highway Traffic Law. It was learned that after the procedures at the police station, Ö.Ç. and M.E.S. in custody would be referred to the courthouse on charges of 'intentional injury', 'threat', and 'endangering traffic safety'.
