Togg, in the Turkish electric vehicle market, ranked first in the brand rankings with 17,049 sales and a 29% market share during the 9-month period of the year.
According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching 849,892 in the January-September period.
During this period, car sales increased by 1.3% to 675,273, while light commercial vehicle sales recorded a decrease of 8.4% to 174,619. SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE SALESIn the January-September period, the number of "fully electric" vehicle sales increased by 56% to 60,838. The share of fully electric vehicles in total sales rose from 5.9% to 9% compared to the same period last year, while the share of hybrid vehicles increased from 10.8% to 16.3%. When considering "fully electric," "extended range electric," and "hybrid" vehicles, it was observed that vehicles with electric motors made up 25.3% of the total market. "T10X OUTPERFORMED ITS CLOSEST RIVAL BY 10,000"According to ODMD data, Togg maintained its leadership in the electric vehicle market during the first 9 months of the year. With 17,049 sales in this period, Togg outperformed its closest competitor by 10,022 units. During this period, Togg's market share in electric vehicles was recorded at 29%. Thus, approximately one in every three electric vehicles sold bore the Togg logo. "MOST SOLD ELECTRIC BRANDS"When looking at the electric vehicle market by brand, in the January-September period, Togg was followed by Tesla with 7,027 sales and BMW with 5,651 sales. KG Mobility (Ssangyong) ranked fourth with 3,557 sales, and Mercedes-Benz ranked fifth with 3,475 sales. When considering by model, the sales ranking during this period was Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, KG Mobility Torres, BMW X1, and Mercedes EQB. SEPTEMBER SALESOn the other hand, looking at September, in the fully electric vehicle market of 9,548 units, Tesla ranked first with 2,475 sales, Togg second with 2,200 sales, and Mini third with 551 sales. BMW ranked fourth with 513 sales, while Mercedes-Benz positioned fifth with 463 sales.
