Truck accident in İzmir: Two people lost their lives.

In the Dikili district of İzmir, two women aged 74 and 76 were hit by a truck and, despite being taken to the hospital, could not be saved. The truck driver has been detained.

A truck with license plate 35 AH 1013, driven by K.G., hit pedestrians Emine Cirit (74) and Besime Çem (76) near the exit of Dikili Port in the Dikili district of İzmir.

2 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

Upon notification from the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Cirit passed away at Dikili State Hospital after the intervention at the scene. Çem could not be saved at Bergama State Hospital where she was transferred.

HE WAS DETAINED

Police teams detained the driver of the truck.
