In critical statements to the country's press regarding the tension with Iran, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made a striking confession about Tel Aviv's goals. Emphasizing that they very much want to launch new attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure, Katz noted they hit a US obstacle, saying: "However, the US does not approve this due to concerns that Iran would attack neighboring countries and trigger a global oil crisis."

Also touching on military operations in the region and cooperation with the US, Katz reported that US fighter jets involved in air operations against Iran use military air bases in Israel.
